Traditional Queenslander renovation, Gladstone
A traditional 1950’s Queenslander is transformed from a tired home into two fully self contained units.
Requirements and evolution of the design
Being a corner block it was natural to have each unit front on to their own respective streets. A complete rearrangement of the internal layout centered around the amenities that were kept back to back was the start. Each area importantly was given their own external deck to living arrangements.
The transformation almost makes the original dwelling unrecognisable from today. Two completely independent units work well within the existing Queenslander style building.
